GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
Throw; matching thread; scissors; pins;
measuring tape; sewing machine
HERE’S HOW
STEP 1
Fold throw in half lengthways,
then fold in half again so fringed ends
meet. Mark this fold line with a pin. Open
out throw so it is folded only lengthways.
Measure 60mm down from middle point
on folded edge. Pin spot to mark top of
section to be cut out. Measure in 85mm
from folded edge and pin all the way
down from 60mm mark to fringe.
STEP 2
Using a photocopier, enlarge
Poncho Cut-out Diagram (below) to size
indicated. Use this as a template to mark
curve at the top of the section to be cut
out. Using scissors, cut out section.
STEP 3
Open out throw and sew a line of
stitching very close to raw edge to neaten.
Fold over a 15mm hem and sew in place.
